Storage

The cold room is a refrigerated room allowing optimal storage and preservation of foodstuffs. Cold rooms can be positive or negative depending on your facility's need. The positive chamber can provide positive cold unlike a negative cold chamber which provides cold air below 0°C. All these models of cold rooms, can they be used to store boxes?

The storage temperature of each product must be known to make the storage of foodstuffs more efficient. Some products can be stored at room temperature. On the other hand, others require very specific cold.

There are three types of preservation for food products. It is advisable to keep food dry in a well-ventilated room. Less perishable foods can be classified in a positive cold room with a temperature around 0° to 7°C. In addition, more fragile foodstuffs require more intense cold and therefore storage in a negative cold room which has a temperature below 0°C.

Recommended storage temperature

For storage in a positive cold room, food products must be stored at +3°C.

For storage in a cold room, the recommended temperature is -18°C. Thawed goods become a fresh product which must be consumed within 48 hours.
